Setting Email Options

Use the Email Options to automatically send customised emails. To access this functionality go into the Design View of the Style and select Tools -> Options from the menu.

All the Email Option fields below can be set can be set to document fields which means the email can be mail merged. For example instead of generating emails which say "Dear Customer" you can automatically generate emails which say "Dear Tom".

Therefore if you select a document field instead of entering text into any of the email options below you are telling Invoice2go to enter the value in the document field into that part of the email at runtime.

To Field

This is the email address to be sent to.

Cc Field

Cc stands for Carbon Copy. This is the Cc address to be sent to.

Subject Field

This is the subject of the email.

Attachment Name Field

When Invoice2go sends a document the document is converted into PDF file so that the recipient gets an exact replica. In this field you can setup what the name of attachment is called. This may come in handy to the email recipient who is saving the attachment for archiving purposes. For example an attachment named "Acme Invoice July 2004.pdf" is easier to put a finger on in 3 months than an attachment named "document.pdf".

Message

This is the text that appears in the email. If you want to have a static email message then select from the Message dropdown and fill out the Text box.

I want to preview the email before sending it off

Check this box if you want to preview the email after Invoice2go has compiled it so that you can review, edit and then hit send. If this box is not checked the email will be automatically sent.
