How do I Backup all my saved Company Data?

It’s a good idea to regularly back up your Invoice2go files, especially since these are legal documents that you may need to reproduce for your customers, your accountant or the tax collector.

To be safe, you may want to place backup files on removable media (like putting them on an external drive or burning them onto CDs or DVDs) in case your computer crashes or is damaged or stolen.

You may want to keep these other media in a different location, too, to be able to recover if some disaster (like flood or fire) occurs to your office.

To create an Invoice2go backup please do the following steps:

Open Invoice2go (select the correct company if multiple companies are setup) and click on File -> Backups -> Open Backup & Restore Wizard.
Select Take a backup of my files and click Backup.

Create a manual Backup of your Invoice2go Company Files

Browse to the folder where you would like your Backup File saved. This may be on a Flash Drive or in a location to be burnt to CD later.

Choose where to save the Invoice2go Backup File

Click Save to begin the Backup Process
If sucessful you will see the Backup Complete dialog.

How do I setup an automatic Backup Schedule?

To create a scheduled backup please do the following steps:

Open Invoice2go (select the correct company if multiple companies are setup) and click on File -> Backups -> Schedule Backups.
Specify the name for the backup file. The default name is MyBackup. The date will be appended to the name for each individual backup file
Specify the location for the backup files, click Browse, locate and select a folder and click OK. (If you use the default folder, note the location for future reference.)
Specify how often the program should back up automatically. (The default is every 7 days.)
Specify how many backups the program should keep before it starts deleting older backup files. (The default is 10 files.)
If you'd like an extra copy of the backup file stored elsewhere, click Browse, locate and select a folder and click OK.
To create a backup now, click Run a scheduled backup now.
Click OK to confirm the Scheduled Backup Settings.
